Sex and the City star splits from boyfriend

The actress that plays the red-haired one in the hit series Sex And The City, Cynthia Nixon, has split from her long-term partner Danny Mozes.

Cynthia, who plays lawyer Miranda Hobbs, has a baby son Charlie, 10 months, and daughter Samantha, seven, with the photographer.

The couple separated over the summer. Reasons for the split aren’t known but friends close to the pair say there had been no infidelity on either side, according to imdb.com.

A representative says, "Cynthia and Danny were both growing apart; it was discussions they were having. There was no third party involved. It was amicable. They are both committed and focused on the children."

Nixon had previously insisted she would never marry. She says, "I have lots of friends who have divorced, and they all said that marriage got in the way of their relationships."
