Will and Grace star expecting first child
Debra Messing, star of comedy Will and Grace, is pregnant, spokeswoman Annette Wolf has confirmed.
The baby, due next summer, is the first for Messing and her husband, screenwriter Daniel Zelman.
The TV news magazine Access Hollywood reported her pregnancy on Friday’s show.
Messing stars opposite Eric McCormack in the comedy about a straight woman and her gay best friend. Messing’s character, Grace, was married last season to Leo, played by actor-singer Harry Connick Jr.
NBC, which makes the series, had no comment on whether Messing’s pregnancy would be written into the series, a network spokeswoman said.
Messing was honoured as best actress in a comedy at this year’s Emmy Awards.
