Martin front-runner in 'Clouseau' race

Funny man Steve Martin has emerged as MGM’s top choice to play Inspector Jacques Clouseau in a remake of the famous 1964 film.

It has been confirmed that the "Bringing Down the House" star is in talks with MGM about starring in the project.

Sources close to Martin said he read the script over the weekend and will decide shortly.
