Sandra Bullock agrees to Miss Congeniality 2
Sandra Bullock has agreed to star in a sequel to Miss Congeniality.
Original writer Marc Lawrence is penning the follow-up script based around on her character Special Agent Gracie Hart.
Miss Congeniality made more than €86m at the box office when it was released in 2000.
Bullock has also signed a further two-year deal between her production company Fortis Films and the film's makers Warner Bros.
She told Hollywood Reporter: "The extraordinary support we have received from Warner Bros over the past six years is such a rarity in this day and age that continuing our deal there was never a second thought.
"Except for when they make me clean the commissary, working there has been nothing but ideal."
Bullock will next play a struggling actress in Vapor, based on the novel by Amanda Filipacchi.
