John Cleese to appear on Will and Grace

Former Monty Python and Fawlty Towers star John Cleese is temporarily joining the cast of the hit US comedy series Will And Grace.

The veteran comedian has signed on to do six episodes of the Emmy-winning comedy, along with Minnie Driver, who is returning to the show, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The comedic potential in the height discrepancy between 6ft 5in Cleese and the show’s co-star, 5ft 4in Megan Mullally, was one of the reasons Cleese was hired, said the newspaper.

Others due to make guest starring appearances on the series during this season are Mira Sorvino and Dylan McDermott.
