Affleck may lose Jack Ryan role

Things just aren’t going Ben Affleck’s way lately.

The ex-fiancee of J Lo and Changing Lanes star may soon be fired from the successful Jack Ryan franchise.

Alec Baldwin was the original Jack Ryan, who has since been replaced by Harrison Ford and, most recently, Affleck. But Paramount executives weren’t impressed by his performance and are reportedly “seriously reconsidering” recasting the role.

According to imdb.com a source said, "It's not been a good year for him. His star has fallen considerably since Sum of All Fears - and Gigli - needless to say - did not help."

Paramount is denying plans to replace the hapless actor but neither would they confirm he would be in the next Jack Ryan film.

A representative for Affleck said, "I have absolutely no idea (if Ben will return)."
