Tarantino tells of Chinese drug party

It wasn’t all work for Quentin Tarantino while he was in China filming Kill Bill.

“China is the Ecstasy capital of the world right now. The nightlife in China is off the hook,” the filmmaker told Playboy magazine.

“The first time I went to the Great Wall of China, it was like an all-night rave. They had rock bands, fireworks. We were smoking pot and doing E. It’s a great way to see the Wall for the first time.”

Kill Bill, the story of a revenge-seeking hit woman who is nearly assassinated on her wedding day is the first film in six years for the director of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs.

“It wasn’t like I was afraid to let the world see it,” he said. “I just wanted it to be really good. It took me a year to write one big fight sequence.”

Kill Bill stars Uma Thurman, David Carradine, Lucy Liu and Samuel L Jackson.
