A play where two women play young versions of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon is attracting celebrity audiences in New York. Nicole Kidman, Steve Martin and Sam Rockwell have all gone to see “Matt & Ben”.

It stars 25-year-old Brenda Withers as a highly intelligent Damon and 24-year-old Mindy Kaling as thick party-loving Affleck.

The play tells the story of when Damon and Affleck wrote the Oscar-winning screenplay for Good Will Hunting. It has been playing to sold out audiences and runs until January, according to imdb.com.

College pals Withers and Kaling are happy about the celebrities but are hoping Damon and Affleck don’t show up.

Kaling says: "It would be so super-weird if they came. If they do, I'll cower behind Brenda and hope I don't get cussed out!"
