Hollywood studios sue over sex scene collections

Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon and Drew Barrymore are among the unwilling stars of a series of videos featuring their early nude scenes.

Now several of the major Hollywood film studios have banded together to sue the makers of the video series that contains collections such as Hollywood’s Hottest Body Shots, Hollywood’s Hottest Before They were Stars and Hollywood’s Hottest Love scenes.

The studios – Universal, Paramount, Fox, MGM and Orion – have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles District Court alleging copyright infringement and demanding that the tapes be destroyed.

The lawsuit claims the video producers have taken excerpts from major films, including Witness, Indecent Proposal, Titanic and American Pie and collected them on videos which are sold through advertisements on late-night television shows.
