Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel may soon reunite for their first tour together in nearly a decade, it emerged today.
The duo are scheduled to make a “very special announcement” at a New York nightclub tomorrow, their publicists said.
And the pair have already reserved dates at concert arenas across the US, according to Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, a concert industry trade publication.
Rumours of a Simon and Garfunkel reunion have been doing the rounds since they appeared together to perform The Sound Of Silence at the Grammys earlier this year.
“Everyone’s been expecting it,” said Mr Bongiovanni. “It was still in the speculative stages, because you never know when Artie and Paul will get in a fight and call the whole thing off.”
The duo have had a fractious relationship since they broke up 30 years ago. They managed to put aside their differences for a reunion concert tour in 1994.
