Britney: Mum approved of Madonna kiss

Britney Spears says her mother approved of her lingering kiss with Madonna during the nationally-televised Video Awards show.

“I was really kind of nervous! I was like, ’Oh my God, my mom…she’s going to see this!”’ Spears said in an interview on the television show Access Hollywood.

“But no, she liked it! And my dad, weirdly enough, he thought it was fine, too. I mean, come on…it’s Madonna and if you can kiss any girl in the world, it has to be her.”

The pop star said she had butterflies before the kiss, which was Madonna’s idea. “I was very nervous and shy,” she said. “It was not my idea. Madonna threw it around a couple of times in rehearsals and said, ’Do what you feel in the performance…just go with it and see what happens. And that’s what happened.”

Asked who was the better kisser, Madonna or her former date, Colin Farrell, Spears exclaimed: “Oh, my gosh! They’re both amazing kissers!”.
