Welch smashes Mercedes into back of car

Raquel Welch, the veteran actress of 60s’ fur bikini fame, was involved in a car accident in Beverly Hills, California when she smashed her gold Mercedes into the back of another car.

The Three Musketeers star had surgery on a dislocated elbow and fractured arm. She was subsequently released from hospital.

Just last month the actress, who turns 63 today, announced she had separated from her fourth husband of four years, restaurant owner Richard Palmer.
