Thurman and Hawke won't officially split for two weeks

The official announcement that Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke are splitting won’t be made for two weeks, according to Pagesix.

They are waiting until Hawke gets back from France, where he is shooting the sequel to "Before Sunrise".

A friend of the couple has gone on record saying, "They haven't spoken about divorce . . . yet. But Uma has heard all the stories and yes, things are very rocky right now. Ethan's away and they're planning to deal [with a formal separation] when he gets back. Right now they are officially separated by an ocean but that is all."

The split-up has been instigated by Hawke’s public romancing of Montreal model Jen Perzow.
