Underwood lands Sex in the City role
Blair Underwood, the black actor best known for his role in the 1980s television series LA Law, is currently in New York guest-starring in four episodes of the final season of Sex And The City.
He plays a suave doctor who becomes romantically involved with Cynthia Nixon's Miranda character, according to the production company, HBO.
“My kids haven’t seen a lot of what Daddy does and they won’t be watching Sex And The City, believe me,” says Underwood, who has three children under the age of six and has some explicit sex scenes with Nixon.
“They came to the set the other day and I told them, ’This is Cynthia and she’s playing Daddy’s girlfriend’. They thought that was just the silliest, funniest, wildest thing.”
