McMahon becomes huge in US

Julian McMahon, the son of a former prime minister of Australia, has become a television star in America, where he plays a slick, self-important plastic surgeon on the hit show Nip/Tuck.

McMahon, who was formerly married to Kylie Minogue's sister Dannii, finds himself accosted in the street by fervid fans responding to his character’s frequent sexual escapades and easy way with breast implants.
