Chili Peppers record new album's worth of songs
The Red Hot Chili Peppers say they have written and recorded an album's worth of "the most diverse and dynamic good feeling" music of their career.
The band intended to produce just two new songs for their forthcoming Greatest Hits album when they went into the recording studio.
"Instead we wrote and recorded 15 songs and they rock," bassist Flea said in a posting on the band's official website.
"We played a wide variety of music arranged into song format that is among the most diverse and dynamic good feeling sh*t we have ever done, at least how that feels to me."
"We gave it no thought. We just rocked and it worked well, it is the fastest we have ever recorded so much material. It was the way to go, I can't wait for y'all to hear it. No thinking just rocking."
