Coronation Street to have first gay kiss

Coronation Street is to have its first gay kiss.

Todd Grimshaw will be seen making a pass at Nicky Platt, played by Adam Rickett, who is said to be considered a gay icon.

The pair will then be seen kissing as they sit on the sofa in the flat Todd shares with Sarah Platt.

She's Todd's 16-year-old lover and Nicky's on-screen sister.

The kiss will be shown after the 9pm watershed on October 5, says the Daily Express.
