Vic and Bob to make sitcom
Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer are to make a return to comedy with a new British TV sitcom about two daft social club workers.
Catterick sees the development of the characters Chris and Carl from their last sketch series Bang Bang: It's Reeves And Mortimer, which aired in 1999.
The duo hit the road in pursuit of Carl's son in the six-part series, which also stars comic Mark Benton.
Benton told Teletext: "It sounds mad but it works. It's like a road movie over six episodes. I play various characters but my main one is a jazz fusion DJ who goes on the road with them.
"They are trying to find the son of Bob's character. I've seen the script and some of it's so bizarre, but Vic and Bob are geniuses."
Reeves and Mortimer took a break from comedy to try their hand at acting, having starred in two series of drama Randall And Hopkirk (Deceased).
They have also filmed parts in Hollywood movie Churchill: The Hollywood Years.
