Gary Stevens, the Hall Of Fame jockey who has a co-starring role in the film Seabiscuit, is reported to be in a “fair and stable” condition in hospital after being thrown from his horse.

Stevens, who plays jockey George Woolf in the film, fell off Storming Home a few strides past the finish line in the Arlington Million race in Illinois.
