Cilla Black's son suffers horrific surprise surprise

Cilla Black’s son was attacked with a crowbar by three masked burglars at her family home, it was revealed today.

Three men wearing balaclavas knocked on the door of the Blind Date presenter’s home in Denham, Buckinghamshire, shortly before midnight on Saturday.

Miss Black’s son answered the door to be greeted by the burglars who struck out at him with a crowbar and then held him down while they searched the house, the Daily Mail reported.

They left after 15 minutes, and were thought to have escaped across a private golf course, but it was not known what they had stolen.

It was reported that Miss Black was out of the country at the time and her son was caught off guard because he was expecting friends.

Miss Black has three sons, Robert, 33, Ben, 29, and Jack, 22, but it was unclear which son was attacked.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “Police were called to an address in Tilehouse Lane in Denham at 11.48pm last night following a report of an aggravated burglary.

“Three men came to the door of the property and forced their way past a male resident in to the house. They hit the man with what is believed to be a crowbar and restrained him.

“The man did not require hospital treatment but was left shaken by the incident.”

He added: “The three men left around 15 minutes later. Police mounted a search of the area. The force helicopter was called in, as was the dog section, but the offenders were not located and it is not yet known what was stolen.”

The three men were described as wearing black balaclavas and dark clothing.
