Double dress disaster for showbiz stars

Showbiz wannabes often spend hours choosing the perfect outfit to make the right impact at celebrity parties.

But a pair of guests at a glitzy party for MTV last night suffered a dress disaster – by arriving in the same skimpy black, white and turquoise creation.

Model Leilani Dowling and Javine Hylton arrived only minutes apart when they turned up for the launch for the channel’s new flagship show TRL.

Javine – currently enjoying success with debut single Real Things – arrived first and was still happily posing for photographers when the page three girl arrived, looking virtually identical.

The singer, who failed to make the line-up of Girls Aloud, saw her fashion rival and turned on her high heels to join the crowds.

Both she and Leilani then kept their distance at the party, where other guests included Jack Osbourne – of MTV’s hit fly-on-the-wall show The Osbournes – who is presenting Top Of The Pops on BBC1 later this week.

TRL is a new show on the music station which launches on August 19, fronted by up and coming presenter Dave Berry.

It promises a daily dose of A-list film and movie stars as guests.
