Manson banned from Ozzy show

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson has been deemed too outrageous to appear at a concert with Ozzy Osbourne.

Manson has been told by officials of the Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park in upstate New York that he will not be allowed to take the stage there during the Ozzfest tour, reports the Buffalo News.

Manson, known for his cadaverous look and macabre lyrics, is one of the headliners of the tour, which includes Osbourne, Kom, Disturbed and Cheville.

Darien Lake is the only venue on the 30-city tour so far to reject Manson, although being banned from shows is nothing new for the singer, whose suggestive, theatrical stage show has made him the target of religious and conservative groups.

"Contractual agreement gives us the right to restrict artists from performing in our concert venue,” said a statement by Six Flags.

“We decided to pass on the Marilyn Manson performance.”

Manson told the newspaper: “Marilyn Manson is simply too dangerous for Darien Lake.”
