Moustache the must-have, say style gurus

Celebrities in Britain are taking part in a charity campaign being launched today which celebrates the return of the ‘tache.

TV stars including Dermot O’Leary, Ralf Little and Ross Kemp are seen sporting moustaches in the pages of GQ magazine.

They are joined by the likes of DJ Pete Tong, broadcaster Richard Bacon and actor Nick Moran.

It is all in support of Tacheback, a campaign launched today by the British Everyman male cancer charity.

Men are being urged to grow them starting on September 1 and must keep them for at least a month.

The rules state: “Moustaches must be grown as moustaches. It is strictly forbidden, not to mention unethical, to grow a beard and then shave off surplus whiskers at a later date.”

Moustaches have fallen out of fashion since the likes of Burt Reynolds and Tom Selleck made them cool.

But style bible GQ reckons they are due for a comeback and has branded the moustache “the must-have fashion accessory of the year”.

Celebrities recently spotted out and about with the facial fuzz include George Clooney, Johnny Depp and Jamie Theakston.
