LB2 is weak and unfunny

Before we consider LB2, the bad news is that there is to be a third outing for little Elle Woods, set in London where she is to take on the powdered wigs of the English judicial system.

Why, M'lud?

Here, abandoning her approaching marriage, Elle heads for Washington where she becomes involved in the animal rights issue. She is joined by double Oscar actress Field; don't ask, she's doing it for the money.

Elle is, arguably, one of those perky, empty-headed ladies you wish ill upon. Witherspoon is a much better actress than this fluffy and mindless dross suggests, but she continues to go for roles which undermine her ability.

LB2 is weak, unfunny and directed by a man who appears to have telephoned his contribution in.

Now, please arrange two fingers closely together and poke them down your throat.
