Outrage over Cruz's rape remarks

Tom Cruise's girlfriend, actress Penelope Cruz has angered women’s groups over remarks she made about her next film, Don’t Move.

“My character’s father has been raping her since she was 12 years old,” Cruz, 29, told the Spanish daily newspaper El Pais, “and that’s why, when another character rapes her she is even a little pleased because he is a surgeon - a man from a higher social class.”
