Bush pays tribute to Bob Hope

US President George W Bush joined in mourning the death of 100-year-old comedian Bob Hope today.

“Today the nation lost a great citizen. Bob Hope made us laugh, he lifted our spirits,” Bush said.

“Bob Hope served our nation when he went to battlefields to entertain thousands of troops from different generations. We extend our prayers to his family.

“God bless his soul.”
