Blanchett to attend UK Guerin premiere

Hollywood star Cate Blanchett is appearing later today at the UK premiere of the hard-hitting crime film, Veronica Guerin.

The Oscar-nominated Australian actress, who takes the lead role of Guerin, the Dublin crime-fighting reporter, was attending the premiere in Islington, north London this evening.

The film tells how Guerin bravely exposed the criminal drug-lords of underworld Dublin – and paid with her life.

The film opened in Ireland on July 11 to rave reviews.
