I'm no demanding diva

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has talked of her hurt over claims that she is a demanding diva.

“All I do, really, is go to work and try to be professional, be on time and be prepared,” she said in an interview for Ben And Jen: A Dateline NBC Special. Excerpts were released in advance by the network.

“Then you hear all this stuff that people say about you. It can be hurtful,” the 32-year-old said. She and her fiance, Ben Affleck, co-star in the new film Gigli, which opens on July 30.

“I think people are always surprised, when I go work on a movie or do something, when I show up and it’s just me, my assistant and my driver. And they say, ‘Well, where is everybody else?’ This is it. It’s just me.”

Lopez and Affleck were interviewed by Pat O’Brien of Access Hollywood for Dateline at Affleck’s rented Canadian home in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he is filming a new movie.

Affleck, 30, says neither overly influence the other when it comes to their careers.

“It’s not as though I say, ‘You should do this, that or the other thing’. Or she says, ‘You should do this, that and the other thing’. Because I think it’s dangerous in any relationship if you let too much of the professional life intrude.”
