'Daddy Day Care' a waste of time and money

Murphy, an acquired taste, is in dire need of a decent film; this one doesn't count.

In it, he and best pal (Garlin) open, for some curious reason, a creche in competition with the nasty Huston (who is good at playing nasty; well, at playing anything).

That's it, basically, and one is left to wonder why anybody bothered with such thin material. OK, so there are brief moments when the film tries to climb out of its pit to get us to consider serious matters, but it's not that sort of a film; it's an empty, lifeless waste of time and money.
