Ex-model springs Big Brother surprise
Big Brother contestants were today getting used to life with a surprise new housemate who was unveiled during their live challenge last night.
Former retail manager Lisa, 35, from Wales, was revealed as the mystery female brought in to even up the male-female ratio after Tania was booted out of the house on Friday night.
Nush and Ray were the first to discover Lisa in the reward room, where she had been waiting with crates of beer, champagne and pizzas.
Greeting the new arrival, Ray gasped: âOh my God! Are you a new person? I donât believe it!â
Blonde Lisa, a former model who has just completed an Open University course in social sciences and wants to be a soap star, appeared confident as she introduced herself.
âWeâve got pizza, booze and Iâve got a load of champagne,â she told the pair, adding: âYou have no idea how bizarre this feels.â
Ten minutes later, Scott and Steph were allowed into the reward room and both were equally stunned to discover their new housemate.
âAre you new?â, asked Steph, to which Lisa jokingly replied: âI was on my way to the pub and I got lost!â
Last nightâs Big Brother challenge was a game of chance, which required each housemate to draw one straw from a holder of six.
The housemates were told that anyone who drew a short straw would not be allowed into the reward room.
But chubby chef Gos, who picked the last straw, cheered as he discovered that there was no short straw, meaning that no-one would be left out.
As the remaining two housemates entered the reward room, Cameron jumped back in surprise and stared wide-eyed in disbelief, introducing himself to Lisa with a peck on the cheek.
All the housemates then sat down in a circle and began chatting excitedly as they tucked into their pizzas and beers.
Lisa read out a note from Big Brother, telling the housemates she would not be eligible for nominations or eviction this week.
Cameron will also escape being nominated tomorrow after spending a week in the Big Brother Africa house, but he will still be able to nominate.
On Big Brotherâs official web site, Lisa describes herself as âa strong-willed person with a quirky personality and a great passion to winâ.
Host Davina McCall revealed last night there would be a new housemate after Tania received a crushing 72% of the vote in the all-girl eviction battle with Nush and Steph.
