African newcomer settles into BB house

Newcomer Gae settled in at the Big Brother house today - raising hopes of a little romance.

Gae, a contestant on African Big Brother, swapped places with Cameron and entered the house this morning.

The Ugandan Romeo has already spiced up the African show by romping beneath the blankets with fellow contestant Abby.

And within minutes of joining the British version, he had started a flirtation with Nush.

Law student Gae – short for Gaetano – flew in from South Africa and arrived in the house just after 9am.

The housemates believed Cameron spent the night in the reward room. When Big Brother announced the room was open, Gos and Steph went in to welcome him – and were stunned to find Gae there instead.

The housemates were in shock, with Nush saying: “I cannot compute this, another person – for a moment I forgot that there were other human beings in the world.”

When asked what had happened to Cameron, Gae deadpanned: “Your other housemate has been assassinated,” before revealing they had swapped places.

He then went for a tour of the house and was disappointed to see that the girls and boys sleep in separate bedrooms.

“You guys have girls’ rooms and boys’ rooms?” he asked. “But you are adults!”

Gae wasted no time flirting with the female housemates, particularly Nush.

Cracking open the beers, he asked Nush to cook him a steak as he made himself feel at home.

Nush seemed very taken with the new arrival, giggling at his comments and touching him on the arm as she followed him around the house.

The blonde yoga lover wanted to know all the details of Gae’s sexy antics in the African house.

“Has there been kissing and stuff going on?” she asked him.

Gae told her: “Oh yeah, definitely – sleeping together, everything. Thing is, [the African housemates] are not inhibited.”

And an over-excited Nush seemed keen to learn all about Abby, asking: “Are you going to miss her? Do you love her? Are you going to get married?”

Over in Randberg, South Africa, the housemates were greeted by the sight of Cameron on their doorstep.

They were summoned to the lounge while still half-asleep and confronted with the new arrival.

They were soon treating him as if he’d been around forever and Zambian Cherise quickly found a common bond because her stepfather is of Scottish descent.

The swap will last for several days before the contestants return to their original shows.

Cameron, 32, will be exempt from evictions for two weeks, although he will be able to nominate the others.
