One Irish film-maker was particularly saddened by the death of the great Gregory Peck.

He had been supporting her latest project, a comedy to be shot in Co Down and Los Angeles.

Belfast-based Angela Lubbock, currently working on The Holywood Story (it's a small town near Belfast), had enlisted a promise from Peck that he would play a key cameo role ... so long as he got another chance to come visit Ireland.

He always considered Ireland his second home (at one time there were even rumours that he was being considered as the United States Ambassador in Dublin).
