Hulk execs vow to hunt down pirates

Angry Universal Studio executives are vowing to track down those responsible for circulating a bootlegged version of The Hulk on the internet more than a week before the film’s premiere on June 20.

The unauthorised, early version of the big-screen adaptation of Marvel Comics’ story of the giant green anti-hero is being criticised by fans for its poor computer-generated effects.

But Universal says the bootlegged version of the Ang Lee-directed film starring Eric Bana as the Hulk’s alter-ego Dr Bruce Banner, Jennifer Connelly and Nick Nolte, is an unfinished product and does not reflect the film’s final special effects.

Universal spokesman Scott Levine said: “We are aware that an unfinished and incomplete version of our film The Hulk is available for illegal downloading on the Internet.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation to determine how this occurred and those responsible will face serious consequences.”
