Irish BB favourite wants to quit

Big Brother favourite Ray set the bookmakers in a flutter today when he threatened to quit the show.

The 25-year-old Irishman, who was the bookies’ favourite to win, told the housemates: “I feel like quitting. I feel like walking out.”

Talking about life outside the house, he said: “I miss it big time, even after a week.”

His outburst came after his team lost the tug-of-war live challenge and was shut outside while the winning team danced the night away in a secret “disco room”.

Gos, Jon, Justine, Scott, Sissy and Steph were shown into their own personal nightclub room, hidden behind a false wall and filled with champagne and canapes, while the losers were banished to the garden.

Ray, an IT systems administrator from Galway, told cameras: “It’s torture, pure torture.”

Last year contestant Sandy Cumming made a dramatic escape from the house, scaling the wall and running across the roof after telling Big Brother he was too bored to stay.

And fellow housemate Sunita Sharma asked to leave after just one week in the house.

This year Jon is favourite to be the next housemate to be evicted, ahead of Federico at 7-2, after Anouska was voted out on Friday.

The housemates will make their second nominations tomorrow.
