High Crimes: Lawyer Claire Kubik (Ashley Judd) and husband Tom (Jim Caviezel) are a happy couple living the American dream, successful careers, nice home, nice cars and plans afoot to start a family.

Just when everything seems to be perfect, a break-in at their home brings their whole world crumbling down around them.

While the police were investigating the break-in Tom’s fingerprints come back as a match for a US Marine wanted for a massacre during a military raid in El Salvador.

Claire wants to defend her husband, but finds the military’s legal system a little different to what she’s used to, so she enlists the help of Charlie Grimes (Morgan Freeman), an ex-military lawyer with a fondness for booze, legal rookie Lt Embry (Adam Scott), and her sister Jackie (Amanda Peet).

High Crimes is a little predictable, but there are enough twists to make it interesting.

The hard-working cast save the day, making this one just about worthy of your time.
