Bookies: BB's Jon heading for home

Boring Jon was today looking almost certain to be the first Big Brother housemate to be given the boot.

The computer geek, who has driven others in the house to sleep with his monologues on physics and science fiction, is way ahead as bookies favourite to be out tomorrow.

In the early hours of today he launched into a long description of his favourite sandwich filling, after first raising the topic.

Bookmaker William Hill puts Jon at 1-6 to be the first housemate evicted with task bungler Federico his nearest rival way behind at 10-1.

Jon has quickly become known for his dull discussions, sealing his reputation early on with a description of Lord of the Rings.

Today he described his “ultimate sandwich”, telling housemates his would be “on a very fresh bloomer, almost warm, with really mature, really the finest, most expensive, cheddar, and my mother’s, it must be my mother’s, not my father’s, raspberry jam with chopped, just the right consistency, not too fine, not too thick – banana layered over the top”.

Most of the contestants have been lazing around in the sun today taking advantage of the hot weather.

Gos ogled Tania as she frolicked in the pool as he lounged in the shade.

“I think you’ve got a fantastic figure,” the chef told her. “That is a wicked a**e.”

As the others lay in the sun, Nush led Sissy and Anouska through a series of stretches and yoga moves to help them keep in shape.
