Impressionists to host Richard and Judy show

Comic Alistair McGowan and his sidekick Ronnie Ancona are to put two of their most notorious impressions to the test – by presenting the entire Richard And Judy show as the regular hosts.

The pair are sitting in as guest hosts on the Channel 4 show while Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are on holiday this week.

McGowan’s Madeley is widely regarded as one of his most accurate acts – even impressing Finnigan and her husband with the uncanny performance.

He and Ancona will stay in character throughout the show, presenting features on the hidden dangers of chemicals in the home and will interview rapper and Hollywood star Queen Latifah.

They will also talk to Jill Halfpenny who plays undercover detective Kate Tyler in EastEnders, talking about how her character falls for Phil Mitchell.

Richard Madeley said: “I’m sure they’re both going to be really entertaining. Judy and I both love them and will be watching while on holiday. Alistair’s probably going to be more like me than I am.”
