J Lo sued over Carmen film plans

Jennifer Lopez is being sued for £15m (€21m) by the director of her film The Wedding Planner because he claims she cut him out of a remake of Carmen.

Adam Shankman, who also directed the comedy hit Bringing Down The House, claims that while he and the actress were working on The Wedding Planner in 2000 he suggested he should develop, produce and direct a feature film based on an updated version of the classic opera Carmen, in which she would star.
