Jumping - but with joy in 'Kangaroo Jack'

This one is for the kiddies, though why the makers thought it would be greeted with wild enthusiasm remains a mystery.

The screenplay is by a certain Steve Bing - step forward Liz Hurley - and while it's no Oscar-winner it is, depressingly, not as bad as it could have been. There are a couple of passable one-liners to bolster a daft storyline about a guy sent by his Mafia step-father (Walken, for some curious reason) to deliver a pay-out in Australia.

Is that a kangaroo we see? Surely, that must be a dingo? Is the next town called Wallambonga? What's going on here? Do we care?

Everybody gives the impression that they gave up trying at an early stage - apparently the Outback can make you lose interest in living at an early stage - and we are left with a noisy tale which only the crassest of neighbourhood monsters will enjoy.
