Kirsten gets set for Wimbledon

The British actor Paul Bettany and Spider-man co-star Kirsten Dunst are taking tennis lessons in preparation oF their roles in the tennis drama Wimbledon.

Scheduled for release just before next year’s Wimbledon tournament, the film centres on a professional tennis player, played by Bettany, who has lost his ambition and falls to 157 in the world rankings.

Then he meets Dunst’s young, ambitious player on the women’s circuit who helps him regain his confidence and skills during his last Wimbledon tournament.

The film marks a return to England for Bettany, who recently co-starred with Russell Crowe in both A Beautiful Mind and Master and Commander, the maritime drama based on the stories of Patrick O'Brian.

Wimbledon will be directed by British director and tennis fan Richard Loncraine.
