Eminem tune 'most likely to cause crash': survey

Eminem’s Lose Yourself is the song most likely to cause a car crash, according to a new survey.

It is one of a host of rap records found to induce speeding and dangerous driving.

Other danger songs include Mis-teeq’s Scandalous and 21 Seconds by the So Solid Crew.

Beethoven’s Symphony No 5 is a surprise entry in the Top 10 bad driving songs compiled by motoring expert Adam Verby.

Verby tested 100 motorists while they played different types of music on their car stereos.

He found that those listening to rap were more likely to crash than drivers listening to any other type of music, and were also more likely to speed.

But classical music could also be dangerous because it induces a “dream-like” state which affects drivers’ concentration.

People who listened to pop and rock songs in the car demonstrated the highest levels of concentration.

The survey was carried out to mark the release of Burnout 2: Point Of Impact, a new driving game for the Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube.

Last week a poll found that Eminem was the soundtrack of choice for Premiership football players during their dressing room warm-up.

Top 10 Tunes likely to bring on dangerous driving:

1 Eminem – Lose Yourself

2 Big Brovaz – Nu Flow

3 Lisa Maffia – All Over

4 NWA – F*ck The Police

5 Mis-teeq – Scandalous

6 So Solid Crew – 21 Seconds

7 House Of Pain – Jump Around

8 Triple 8 – Knockout

9 50 Cent – The Club

10 Beethoven – Symphony No 5
