'Deep Breath' is an excellent film

This is O’Doul’s first feature film - as writer-director - and he has bravely chosen a cast of amateurs to enact it.

And it's an outstanding effort all round, this coming-of-age tale of a teenage boy (Bonnetblanc) expelled from school and sent to discover life with his uncle. The action takes place in one day, it is a technically excellent film and if it doesn't quite reach the finishing tape in triumph it runs a decent race.
