Fears 'Coupling' too racy for US

A US version of the hit BBC comedy Coupling may be too racy for American viewers, TV executives warned.

The NBC network plans to launch an adaptation of the show – relocating the six thirty-something characters from London to Chicago – as a replacement for Friends, which is now in its final series.

But some believe the programme’s frequent and explicit references to sex will turn off viewers.
