'Venus' Jerry keeps her clothes on

It was a recreation of a Botticelli – but nobody got to see Jerry’s botty.

Model Jerry Hall posed as Venus in a real-life tableau of the artist’s most famous work.

But the star did not come out of her shell enough to dispense with her clothes as she posed in a shop window for top London store Selfridge’s.

Instead Texan Hall kept her white gown on, unlike the subject of the Florence-born artist’s The Birth Of Venus who was naked but preserved her modesty with her flowing locks.

Hall appeared in the window display – staged by Evian water – to launch the department store’s month-long Body Craze theme.

The Oxford Street store is celebrating the human body in a variety of ways over the coming days with exhibitions, performances and a tattoo studio and piercing parlour.
