Battle for Zeta-Jones' baby photos

Freelance photographers are putting a £300,000 (€430,000) price on the first picture of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas’s week-old baby Carys.

About a dozen photographers are camped out in front of the couple’s Manhattan apartment, but only Douglas and the couple’s son, Dylan, two, have come out to run errands.

Zeta-Jones and the baby have remained at home.

Every day the price rises but a spokesman for Zeta-Jones tells the newspaper there are no plans “at this time” for any photographs of baby Carys to be made public.

When Dylan was born the couple negotiated about £500,000 (€559,000) for the first public baby pictures to appear in Britain’s OK! magazine nearly six weeks after his birth.
