So Who Can't Sing?
It may have been the rejection by his favourite director, but Colin Farrell is determined to prove everybody wrong ... and sing.
Joel Schumacher, with whom the Irish hot-shot has made several films, had to strike Farrell off his list of possible stars for the up-coming screen version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit stage musical, Phantom of the Opera, because he couldn't sing.
But the Irishman has turned to Aussie Oscar winner Russell Crowe - who tours and records with his own band, The 30 Odd Foot of Grunts - for lessons.
Farrell was famously turned down as a possible member of top group Boyzone - deemed "tone deaf" - but he has been writing songs with Crowe and is determined to be a rock star.
