Hollywood honours veteran director
The veteran British film director Ronnie Neame is the subject of a three-day Hollywood tribute this weekend at which some of his best-known films will be screened.
The 92-year-old Neame, who has just published his memoir Straight From The Horse’s Mouth, first worked as an assistant cameraman on Alfred Hitchcock’s 1929 thriller Blackmail and went on to produce, write or direct 20 films, including The Poseidon Adventure, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Tunes of Glory and The Horse’s Mouth.
