Christina Aguilera to play first Irish show

Chart star Christina Aguilera is to play her first Irish show later this year, she announced today.

The star is to play Belfast's Odyssey Arena on October 30 and Dublin's Point Theatre the following night.

The dates are part of her European tour, with tickets going on sale tomorrow.

She said: “I can’t wait to visit Europe and play for all my fans, they are always so supportive of me.

“Now I’ve got the chance to give something back and show the fans how much I appreciate them.”

Aguilera – whose hits include Genie In A Bottle, Dirrty and Beautiful – plays the following dates:

October 30 – Belfast Odyssey Arena.

October 31 – Dublin, The Point.
