Garner steals the superhero show

Sexy actress Jennifer Garner, who played the comic book heroine Elektra opposite Ben Affleck in Daredevil, is to begin shooting her own spin-off film next year.

Studio bosses at 20th Century Fox were so pleased with her performance in Daredevil that she has been given the opportunity to star in her own superhero film, says sources at the studio.

A script is being prepared which will focus on Elektra’s recovery from a near-death experience and her battles with the Hand, the organisation of killers which trained her and then turned against her.

Garner, who recently separated from her husband, actor Scott Foley, will make the film while on a break from her hit TV series Alias.
