Dennis eyes family-man comeback
Les Dennis is considering a return to Family Fortunes a year after quitting the show, he revealed today.
Dennis left to pursue an acting career after 15 years in the host’s job and TV bosses replaced him with presenter Andrew Collins.
But his name has been linked with the gameshow once again after Collins proved less popular with viewers.
Asked if he wanted to go back to the job, Dennis told ITV1’s Today With Des and Mel: “It would be nice to think about it. It was a great show.”
Dennis, 48, is keen to establish himself as a serious actor with a role in Brookside and a guest appearance in Casualty this Saturday as a bullying boss.
Since quitting Family Fortunes he has split from wife Amanda Holden and enjoyed a short-lived romance with 30-year-old PR girl Leoni Cotgrove.
